Non-members: $800 (includes one-year membership)
Students—EPIC Members: $200
Students—Non-members: $350 (includes one-year membership)
We know that for some of our members the price of registration is a barrier to attending our annual conference. This year we are offering half-price registration on a first-come, first-served basis for a limited number of people who qualify. Qualified applicants:
- are current EPIC Members,
- have a gross income less than $55,000 USD/year, and
- have no institutional support for professional development.

Who can attend EPIC2019?
Anyone can register and attend; you do not have to have an accepted proposal. Our diverse attendees come from many fields, industries, and organizations of every kind—Fortune-500 companies and start-ups, management consultancies, design studios, universities, NGOs, public policy organizations, and think tanks.
What does registration include?
Registration fees cover the entire event except Tutorials and the Conference Dinner (TBA).
What is the cancellation policy?
You may cancel your registration for a full refund before October 9, 2019. EPIC is a nonprofit organization and we use registration revenue immediately to fund the conference, so we cannot issue refunds after October 9. However, you may transfer your registration to another person. This policy applies to all registration components, including the Conference Dinner and Tutorial tickets.
Can I register on site?
The conference generally sells out and we strongly recommend purchasing a ticket as soon as you’re able after registration opens on April 30.
I want to wait to register until I’m notified about whether my proposal is accepted. What if the conference sells out before that?
We hold one space for each accepted presentation in case we sell out before notifications go out. If you want to be sure more than one presenter can attend, or if you want to attend regardless of whether your submission is accepted, please register ASAP. Remember, registration is refundable through October 9.
Are there any volunteer positions available?
Every year our amazing conference is organized and run almost exclusively by volunteers. If you’re interested in getting involved, please contact the EPIC2019 co-chairs Julia Haines and Lisa DiCarlo. Because such a large percentage of our attendees are organizers, committee members, speakers, and content co-authors, most of these positions do not include complimentary conference registration. For the limited number of volunteer positions that do include complimentary registration, we prioritize currently enrolled students.
